If you love to keep your hair cut and styled in the latest trend, then you will certainly not have a hard time finding a barbershop to take care of it. The town is known for having so many barbershops that the only problem you’ll likely have to deal with come time that you need a cut is to decide where to actually go. For some reason, the town seems to have the highest density of charity shops too.

Do not really let the seemingly unassuming exteriors of the town fool you. Many a visitor has been surprised to find out that the peaceful and quiet town is not always what it seems. While some might say boring would be their first impression, they will certainly quickly change their view if they will get the chance to be on the Lounge either on a Saturday night or a Sunday morning.

If you have a friend who’s visiting and wants to know what your town’s claim to fame is, Peter Gale Godalming suggests that you tell him about how it was the very first time to ever have public electricity. However, you might not need to emphasize on the fact though that this was quite such a long time ago especially since it has not really managed to remain at the forefront though when it comes to public facilities since then.

Another claim to fame is that the local hotel, the King’s Arms was named so because apparently, many years ago, some king stayed in the place overnight.
